This accessory design work explores the relationship between fashion, function, and sculptural form. Each piece was developed considering proportion, materiality, wearability, and the ways accessories can transform a complete look. Designs incorporate experimentation with shape, construction, and surface detail. Through sketch development, material exploration, and digital visualization, each design balances aesthetic impact with intentional function. The work demonstrates an approach to accessories as more than finishing elements, positioning them as integral components of a larger design language and opportunities for pushing proportion, movement, and personal expression.
This maximalist patchwork handbag explores leatherworking through sewing, staining, quilting, and material manipulation. A vegetable-tanned leather base is layered with softer leather scraps to create a tactile, patchwork surface. The lace closure incorporates grommets, while 18 interchangeable loops along the base support modular attachments. Beaded tassels emphasize repetitive, jewelry-like craftsmanship, adding movement and ornamentation while demonstrating how functional details can become expressive design elements.

Belted Bow
This oversized pink and orange taffeta bow explores accessory design through exaggerated scale, color, and volume. The upper portion is gathered at the center, while the lower section is gathered at the seamline and bubbled to create dimensional fullness and movement. A concealed belt through the back allows the bow to be worn at the waist, bust, or attached to another garment or object, transforming it into a versatile statement piece designed to define and elevate a look.
