Urban Movement

This collection of knitwear swatches was inspired by dancewear, with a focus on warm-up pieces and contemporary dance athleisure. The color story draws from a muted palette of pinks, blues, and greys.

The collection explores variation in gauge, scale, and texture, while maintaining visual cohesion through the repeated use of striped patterns.

Secondary Exploration

Building on the initial swatch collection, I reoriented the concept to explore the bohemian ready to wear aesthetic often reflected in dance warm up silhouettes. The collection remains rooted in an urban setting, but shifts its focus toward the urban artist, dancer, and socialite, imagining what she might wear throughout a day and night in the city.

The collection uses a limited palette of blues and browns to create a grounded, urban feel. I reworked many of the original swatches into new colorways and sweater silhouettes, allowing the collection to build upon the ideas explored in the initial development.
